Veronica Maxine (Moe) Dabney went to sleep with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Albemarle Rehab Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was born September 8, 1950 to the late James and Alice Jackson Dabney. Moe was a beautiful, happy, outgoing person who made friends where ever she went. She loved to cook and taking care of her boys.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Dabney and sister, Betty Armstrong.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Troy Dabney of Metro Atlanta, Georgia and Jamie Dabney (Rakisha) of Charlottesville, VA;, two brothers Donald Dabney (Stephanie) of Stafford, VA and Gregory Dabney (Christine) of Charlottesville, VA; one sister, Vernette Cobbs and her husband Harry of Stafford, VA; a sister-in-law, Judy Dabney of Goode, VA; six grandchildren, Brandon, Saniya, Jayanna, Tory, Ashton and Braylen, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 in The Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson Mortician, Inc., 4002 James Madison Highway, Fork Union, VA. with Rev. Phillip Carter officiating. The committal will follow at the Jackson Family Cemetery, Franklin Lane, Palmyra, VA.
