Shanequa  Monique  Henderson, 30, of Gilbert, AZ departed this life on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. She was born December 4, 1991 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA, a daughter of Lyndell A. and Felicia Henderson Rush.

She was baptized early in life and joined the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Esmont, VA. Since moving to Arizona, she attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Mesa, AZ. Shanequa was a 2010 graduate of Higley High School in Gilbert. Being a bright student and often on the dean's list, she was also a recent graduate of Arizona State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. She was currently employed as a Receptionist at Inspire Day Spa in Scottsdale, AZ.

Shanequa was loving, funny, believed in living life to the fullest, a fashionista, loved to sing, and always had a smile on her face that would light up a room. The angel on this page touched her greatly to the point that she kept her close and even chose to wear a sash on her head like the angel's. Shanequa was a devoted daughter, sister, relative and friend. She enjoyed good food and spending time with family and friends. She and Allen (the love of her life) shared a special relationship based on a deep love for one another. They were best friends and inseparable until the very end.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary E. Rush and leaves to cherish memories her parents, Felicia and Lyndell Rush; one sister, Savannah Rush; one brother, Darius Rush; fiancé, Allen Stockton; all of Gilbert; grandmother, Karen A. Cooper Rush of Charlottesville, VA; grandfather, Walker L. Rush of Esmont, VA; four aunts, Katrice Henderson, Aretha Rush, Francelia Rush, and Caroline Gray; nine uncles, Roland Alston (LaShonda), Anthony Alston, Richard Cooper (Kate), Michael Cooper, Dominick Cooper, Walker B. Rush, Kevin I. Rush, Prentice L. Rush (Lindsey) and Xavier Gibson; her devoted extended family, Julie and Mark Stockton, and Kaylee Vachon (Joseph); a very dear friend, Tashera Thomas; and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends who will truly miss her.
