Roynal Edward Lewis departed this life September 4, 2024 surrounded by his family.  He was born December 21, 1956 the youngest son of Joseph T. Lewis and Miamie Ann Lewis.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Phillip Odell Dabney, John Herbert Lewis and Joseph Lewis.

Roynal , was affectionately known as "Ron", "Ronnie" , and "Baby Joe , was an orator who expound on almost any subject.   He attended and graduated from Fluvanna County High School.  He excelled in football in junior and senior high schools where he lettered in football.  He was employed and served as managers of Lowe's and Kroger's stores. After retiring he became a bus driver and substitute teacher in the Fluvanna County Public School System.

Ron was baptized and servant member of the Cloverdale Baptist Church, Bremo Bluff, Virginia.  He was a trustee, Sunday School Superintendent and became an ordained deacon in 1994.  He served as president of the Fluvanna County School Union until his health declined.

In 1978, he married Elsie Juanita Baskfield, his high school sweetheart. From this matrimonial union they were blessed with two wonderful sons; Jermaine (Aiesata) Lewis and Korey (Chloe) Lewis; eight grandchildren; Damara, Za'Kiyah, Jermaine, Jr., Ja'vae, Maja, Royce, Makayla and Asher; two great grands, Xander and Savannah.

Ron leaves to celebrate his memory, five sisters, Helen (Phillip) Carter, Patricia A. White, Lavern (Mack) Poindexter, Barbara (Wesley) Henson and Kimberly Lewis and host of other family members; six Sisters-in-laws, eight brothers-in laws, and many other relatives and friends.
