Lillie Mae Vowels Stovall, 90, of Bremo Bluff, VA, born Oct. 7, 1927, left suddenly to join her heavenly Father, and a host of relatives, friends, and fellow saints, on Friday evening, Feb. 16, 2018. By her passing, we know that God's word is true, "no man knows the day nor the hour, that the Son of Man shall come", therefore, we must be always ready.
She was ready in spirit, in the word, and in how she led her life as a Christian should walk circumspectly.

Lillie was baptized into the fellowship of West Bottom Baptist Church, Bremo Bluff, VA and served faithfully. Recently, since Sept. 2006, she was a dedicated part of Calvary Chapel Fluvanna, 2772 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Palmyra, VA 22963.

She was the daughter of William Archer Vowels, Sr. and Annie Rebecca Johnson Vowels, of Bremo Bluff, Va. She had one brother William Archer Vowels, Jr. Raised mainly by and lived with her grandparents, Dea. Elias Lazarus and Betty Barnett Johnson, in the home she spent her entire life, and raised her children.

She was educated at West Bottom Primary School, West Bottom, Va, and graduated from S.C. Abrams High School, Palmyra, VA in 1946.

She married James Archer Stovall, Sr. on March 15, 1950, together they had five children, of which, her oldest son, Clarence, preceded her in death, on Nov. 10, 2017. Surviving are her three daughters: Joyce Elizabeth Turner, Rosemary "Rosey", and Suzette Virginia "Suzie", and a son, James Archer, Jr. "Jimmy". Her 6 grandchildren: Alexor Quillon "Alex", and DeMontae Montrell Stovall, Charles and Altonio Turner, Teri and Kimberly Stovall, and her Honorary Grandson: Justin "Jimmy" Edmonds. Great Grandchildren: Jadae Alexous Stovall, Jaya DeBruhl, and Savion Stovall.

Along with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, are her surviving four nieces: Patricia Vowels Ross(Dale), Cynthia Vowels, Teresa Washington, and Karen Vowels.

She love to read the Word of God, cherished her family, enjoyed Soap Operas, mind games puzzles, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and her favorite Word Search. She spent countless hours reading her Bible, the Daily Bread bible study booklets, and looked forward to fellowshipping with her church family, and working word search books.

In her work life, she spent years in childcare at home. She worked at the Fork Union Motor Lodge Resturant, and at Stelhi Material Manufacturing, in Fluvanna, VA.

She loved to cook, read, and spend time with all her family. Most of all, she loved the Lord, gospel singing, and good preaching of God's word, that is why she loved attending Calvary Chapel Fluvanna, and always said, "I'm glad I went".

Rest Well Momma, in the arms of your loving Father.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018, 1pm, at Calvary Chapel Fluvanna, 2772 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy (Rte. 53), Palmyra, VA 22963
