Ja'Shaun O'Brien Brown, AKA "Skoot," age 16, departed this life on April 18, 2025. He was born July 27, 2008 in Charlottesville, VA. He was the son of Ebony, Ivory and Ronald Brown (Tiffany).

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Rylander Carter, a great-uncle, Shaun Luck, and his maternal great-grandmother, Carrie Ivory.

In addition to his mother and father, Skoot leaves to cherish his memories, three sisters, Ja'Daria, Jariah, and Ja'Hauna; one brother, Jerimiah; three stepbrothers, Antwon, Alijah, and Jaheim; six aunts, Shulanda, Aquia, Mayah, Corie, Quante', and Endia; three uncles, Jamar, Joseph, and Cobi; three grandmothers, Demetrise Luck, Betty Bailey, and Catherine Carter; a grandfather, Bobby Ivory; three great-grandmothers, Angaleen Goodloe, Clara Fortune, and Margaret Carter; two great-grandfathers, Louis Ivory and Jasper Thomas; a godmother, Rena Adams, and a host of great aunts, great uncles, great-great uncles, cousins, and friends.

Ja'Shaun enjoyed playing video games, especially with his step-brothers. He loved to cook and was very protective of his sisters. His favorite ball team was the Kansas City Chiefs. Skoot was very friendly, respectful and loved by his family and friends. He also loved his family very much.
