Hazel Bradley Buggs, 83, was born went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Envoy Nursing Home, Fork Union, Virginia. She was born the oldest of five siblings to the late James and Annie Lee Dabney Bradley on May 1, 1935 in Bremo Bluff, Virginia.
In addition to her father and mother, Hazel was preceded in death by three brothers, James Bradley, Everett Bradley and the Reverend Howard Bradley.
Hazel was educated in the Fluvanna County Public Schools. She was formerly employed by Woolfolk and Stehli Manufactories.
In 1957 Hazel married Fred Jefferson Buggs. From this union there are three sons: Alvin Nathaniel Buggs (Annie) of Dillwyn, Virginia, Vernon Lydell Buggs, of Jarrett, Virginia and Darryl Anthony Buggs of Palmyra, Virginia; a daughter: Cassandra Denice Buggs of Richmond, Virginia; three grandchildren; Tamara Eldridge, Kendra Buggs and Jarvis Buggs; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Lula Arlene Johnson; two brothers-in-laws: John Buggs of Fork Union, Virginia and Henry Buggs of Richmond, Virginia; two sisters-in-laws: Rosetta Artis of Richmond, Virginia and Carolyn Bradley of Bronx, New York, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 at Cloverdale Baptist Church Bremo Bluff.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
