Mrs. Gloria Faye Miller was born January 22, 1950, in Buckingham County, the daughter of the late Samuel Richard Carson and Rosa Bell Johnson. She was a deaconess, usher, choir member, the Pastor's armor bearer, prayer warrior and church mother of Burning Bush Christian Church, Palmyra, Virginia, Pastor Reverend Leon L Harris Sr. and Co-Pastor Evangelist Lucille D. Harris.
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband Welford Lee Miller, brother, Dennis Richard Johnson (Mary); sister, Ella Louise Johnson all of Buckingham, Virginia.
Gloria has three loving and cherished sisters, JoAnn Johnson (David), Connie Miller (Joe) and Margo Anderson (Andrew); all of Buckingham Virginia. We would also like to acknowledge our wonderful extended Watkins and Johnson family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children Pamela Miller, Terry Miller (Melissa), Donna Miller, Brian Miller (Sheena). Her dear and cherished grandchildren Brandon Miller (Melanie), Tiana Miller, Samantha Miller, DeAndre Miller (Megan), Trey Miller, Christopher Cochran, Brilynn Fields, Zion Miller and Sariah Miller; great grandchildren; Jae'Yanna Miller, Brianna West, Silas Miller, Asa Miller, Journee Miller, Aiden Hill, Amiyah Miller, Alijah Miller, Caden Cochran, Secret Johnson, and Tyquan "Trey" Johnson.
She is also survived by her aunts and uncles Paul Carson, Oddel King and Agnes Stovall. Numerous loving nieces, nephews, Christina Johnson, Catasha (CeCe) Johnson, Cherie Johnson, Latora Johnson, Terrell Johnson, Travis Johnson, Tracy Johnson, Marvin Randolph, Tameka Witten, Vanessa Armstrong and Michael Miller (deceased).
A host of devoted family members and friends, Deacon James Johnson (Jack), Mrs. Dorothy Bowles, Ms. Carolyn (Phyllis) Ford, Mrs. Charlotte Toney and Mr. Jerome Toney.
Mrs. Gloria Miller touched the lives and hearts of so many people. She showed everyone around her how to live a life of peace and joy. She was such an amazing cook. Gloria was especially known for her delicious potato salad. Her special recipes now lives on through her loving children and grandchildren. She was truly a beautiful example of what it meant to show love. She blessed so many without expecting anything in return. She truly had a heart of gold. It was a blessing just to know her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will forever be missed by us all.
