Frederick "Jeff" Buggs was born August 17, 1933 to the late Frederick Buggs and Harriet Winston Buggs.
Fred was united in marriage to the late Hazel Bradley in January 7, 1957.  From this union there are four children: Alvin Nathaniel Buggs (Annie) of Dillwyn, VA, Cassandra Denise Buggs, of North Chesterfield, VA, Vernon Lydell Buggs of Jarrett, VA and Darryl Anthony Buggs of Palmyra, VA.

Fred was a member of the Thessalonia Baptist Church.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

He is also survived by three grandchildren:  Tamara Eldridge, Kendra Buggs and Jarvis Buggs, nine great-grandchildren;  two brothers John Buggs of Fork Union, VA and Henry Buggs of Richmond, VA and  a sister,  Rosetta Buggs Artis of Richmond VA;  a sister- in-law, Lula Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters:  Estelle Buggs Adams, Mary Buggs Wood and Eliza Buggs Anderson.

Graveside services will with military honors be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Gravel Hill Cemetery East River Road Fork Union, Virginia 23055, with Rev. Phillip Carter officiating.
