With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Eric Nelson Bryant, Sr ., a loving and thoughtful father, husband, brother, and nephew, on May 28, 2024. Born on January 7, 1984, in Brooklyn, New York, Eric was kind and caring in the lives of those who knew him. His spirit, his smile, and his love for his children were his greatest gifts, which he shared generously with everyone around him.

Eric was a devoted laborer for 30 years, contributing his talents to the domestic sector. He relocated from Palmyra, Virginia, to Roanoke, where he made his home with his wife, Althea Bryant.

He leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life, his wife Althea Bryant; his precious children, Eric, Jr., Lisa, Justin, and Justice Bryant; his brother Lance Bryant; step kids Alyssa Johnson and Kaylee Johnson and his dear aunt Linda Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Wardell and Constance Marie Bryant, and his sister, Sherrill Bryant.

Public viewing will be held at The Sun Chapel, D. D. Watson, Fork Union, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 4-7 pm EDT. We invite all who knew and loved Eric Nelson to join us in honoring his memory.
