Cara Binford Lewis, 42, of Palmyra, VA slipped into eternal rest on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at the University of Virginia Hospital surrounded by her loving Family.

Cara was preceded in death by her dad, Warner Payne; grandfather, Earl Binford and grandmother Cleo Binford.

Cara is survived by her mom, Alease Payne (Biological Mother) Alice Binford; Husband William Lewis; four children,  De'Asia Binford, Aailiyah and Jaheim Lewis; step-daughter, Kathy Lewis; brother, William Binford; one grandchild, Saniya Gray; two uncles, Mark Binford and Earl (Denise) Binford Jr. and a host of relatives and friends.

My Angel

William one day asked God to please send him an angel. Then here come Cara walking into his life. God sent him his angel. She gave him a beautiful family and 14 years of a wonderful marriage.

Cara had a beautiful smile and we loved hearing her laugh. She was a shopper and enjoyed walking through the store looking for a good deal   Cara would never leave home after getting sick without her wig on, her lipstick on and her earring on. Her appearance was everything to her. Illness or no one was going to take that away from her. She was so funny regardless if she was right or wrong.   Cara had the last word and nothing after that made a difference.

Words can't express the love she had for her family William, De'Asia, Aailiyah, Jaheim, Saniya, Alease, Mark and Alice. She fought, she held on, she prepared you all for this moment because she loved you all so much. Always cherish her memories, carry her smile, her laugh in your heart forever.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Calvary Chapel, Fluvanna, VA, 2772 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Palmyra, VA 22963.
