Andrew Mickle Jackson, affectionately known as “Peewee”, suddenly departed his life on January 26, 2026, in Columbia, VA. He was born on March 31,1962 to the late James L. Jackson Sr. and Carrie B. Lewis of Beaverdam and Columbia, VA.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, James Jackson Sr. & Carrie Lewis; siblings Valeria Lewis, Mary Kippins-Johnson, Willie Jackson, and Charles Jackson; and stepfather Harvey Lewis, Jr.

He received his education at Cumberland County Public Schools. At an early age he joined Little Fork Baptist Church. He was employed for many decades with Elkora Inc. using heavy machinery and where he was given additional nicknames Peewee Pepper aka Pepper.

Peewee loved Ford trucks, music, and wrestling. He also loved cutting grass, splitting wood, cracking jokes, and watching his favorite TV show In the Heat of the Night. Peewee cherished collecting old model cars and construction equipment toys.

He leaves to cherish his memories with his brothers; James Jackson Jr, (Joan) David Jackson, and Richard Lewis; one aunt; Ann Jeffries, nieces and nephews; Jessica Lewis, Eunice Kippins, Alfreda Kippins, Lamont Clark, Denise Jackson, Sherard Clark, LaDonna Joyner, Darren Lewis, James Jackson III, Lawrence Kippins, great nephews and great niece; Christopher Wimmer Jr., Jalen Wimmer, Jashua Genis, and Kamilah Genis; daughters whom he adored and treated like his own, Janelle Carrington, Tonya Carrington, Renita Carrington, and a host of extended family and friends.

Peewee’s love and memory will always live on in the Lewis family’s hearts.
